About Us

Saint Vincent de Paul

Our Mission

Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul.  Organized locally at our parish, Vincentians witness God's love by embracing all works of charity and justice. The Society collaborates with other people of good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction in those served because, in them, Vincentians see the face of Christ.

During the shelter in place, the St. Vincent de Paul Society continues to provide assistance to those in need.  During the last 3 months, we have helped 15 families in need with housing, transportation, clothing, and food emergencies.  We also provided Easter gift cards to children of poor families living in our local community.  Our members continue to meet and work with clients.  We are working via phone, email, and video conference whenever possible.  But, some situations require carefully planned in person visits.  We appreciate any assistance that our parishioners can provide in donations or volunteer hours.  We would also like to recognize the Mountain View Community Services Agency, which has provided a truly heroic amount of assistance to our community members in need.  If you'd like to help us, please contact Frank Pelkofer at
